01 Ulzzang(얼짱)

Best face. In other words, good-looking. A combination of two words, Ul-zzang, Ul is a shortened form of Ulgul（얼굴）, which means ‘face’, and Zzand（짱）is a new Korean term meaning ‘the best.’

指 [最好的脸]，�个�说就是 [好看]。Ulzzang其实是由两个字组�，Ulgul (얼굴) 和 Zzand (짱) ，Ul 就是 Ulgul 的缩写，解作 [脸] 的��；後方的zang就是由Zzand�化而�，是个新的韩语��，有 [最好] 的��。

They are people with very good looks, most often with the use of Photoshop. The origin of this term dates back to 2003 when normal people started uploading their photos on an internet community, competing for the title of the best look, ‘ulzzang.’ Those selected instantly became internet celebrities, some of them appearing on TV shows and advertisements. Now, this term has developed into a subculture rather than a competition.
